THINGS I WISH I'D KNOWN EARLIER - Guilds

==================================================

* Guilds do not have their guildnames displayed above their heads until the guild reaches level 5. You can get your guild to level 5 by doing city writs and accumulating status points.

* When doing city writ quests for status, you will gain faction with one of the city factions and lose faction with the other four. However, the system is designed so the positive gain is greater than the sum of the negative hits. If you do one writ for each of the factions, you will end up net positive faction with all of them. Also, it is not currently possible for city tasks to lower your faction to the point where they will no longer offer you tasks.

* Completing heritage quests gives a sizable amount of personal status points if you are guilded (and guild status points if you are a patron). Note: if you are unguilded, you will NOT receive the personal status points. In this case, it might be worth your while to either hold off completing the quest until you are guilded, or borrow 5 other people and create a guild with just yourself in it.
